Huobi Token (HT) Wallet

Huobi Token is the native token of Huobi Global, an Ethereum based cryptocurrency exchange platform that is also ERC-20 compliant. It was launched by Huobi Group whose founders are Jun Du, Leon Li, and Herbert Rafael Sim. Huobi aims to create a client-first culture and is utilized worldwide in more than 20 countries on four continents.

Huobi Token is an essential part of the Huobi exchange and was distributed as a part of a special service package, avoiding a standard ICO. The token has several functions but mainly serves as a governance token. HT gives its holders a right to vote on some of Huobi’s management decisions, including new asset listings. The more HT you have, the more your vote weighs. HT holders can also use it to pay for a Huobi exchange VIP subscription, which gives you a transaction fee discount. Holding HT tokens even gives you access to the platform’s special events and is tradable against various popular currencies.

In 2021, Huobi Charity, which is a part of the Huobi Group, pledged $1 million in both fiat currency and bitcoin to UNICEF for social impact with the help of blockchain technology.
